Eugen Sandow Photographed
in His Later Years

Sandow (below) at about the time of World War I and San Francisco's Panama-Pacific Exposition, circa 1915

He is in his late 40's and wearing a fedora hat in the style of the time... "at a jaunty angle." Sandow was a fine dresser and was a gentleman in every sense of the word in his manners and appearance.

Sandow continued to "practice what he preached" into his 50's. In the above photograph, we can still see his broad and powerful shoulders, and his famous bulging upper arm. Sandow died prematurely, just 7 years after the above photo was taken.
