LIONEL STRONGFORT

Max Unger became a vaudeville strongman and gave himself the rather powerful stage name of "Lionel Strongfort". He was known as "The Builder of Men" and he certainly looked the part judging from this photograph. This is the 1923 ad for his highly successful muscle-building program called "Strongfortism".
